Inspired by the Museum‘s display of exquisite pysanka written by Viktoria Buzinski, the group learned about the history and symbolism of a pysanka. They experimented with the basic colours of a pysanka and designed their own unique creation.

Writing pysanky originated in ancient culture and is a part of our Ukrainian identity. As russia continues its attempt to erase the Ukrainian people, our culture, history and language, we write pysanky as a powerful symbol of resilience, hope and cultural identity.
