Marking the 4th anniversary of the russian invasion of Ukraine
The Saskatoon community is invited to a special program on Sunday, February 22, 2026 - 2pm.
Join the Saskatoon Ukrainian Canadian Congress, in partnership with the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, to mark the 4th anniversary of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
For four years, Ukraine has endured immense loss, destruction, and displacement - yet the courage and resilience of its people and defenders remain unwavering. Together, we gather to remember, to stand in solidarity, and to reaffirm our commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and freedom.
The program will include:
• A moment of silence in honour of the fallen heroes and innocent victims of the war.
• Reflections from local community members who have volunteered in Ukraine - Nick Bettin and Tanya Baran.
• A presentation by the Saskatoon Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
• Anthems of Ukraine & Canada by the HOLOSY Choir.
Location: Ukrainian Museum of Canada, 910 Spadina Cres East, Saskatoon. Time: 2:00 PM
Stand united with Ukraine, honour the sacrifices made, and demonstrate that our community's support remains strong and steadfast. Everyone is welcome to attend and show solidarity with the people of Ukraine and those who continue to defend its freedom.
Stand with Ukraine. Honour the fallen. Support its defenders.
UCC National has posted a list of vigils and rally's happening across Canada. See where you can join in your location.
On Tuesday, February 24th, the U of S Ukrainian Students' Association invite us to a vigil commemorating those lost, injured and still fighting russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine.

Later in the day join in this walk and car rally:

Note: until such time that russia is worthy of proper noun use, we follow the 2023 consideration of the National Commission on State Language Standards that it is not considered a mistake to use the lower case writing in unofficial documents.
