Show and sale on now.

This exhibition reflects the ongoing journey Dawna is travelling through paintings that transform inherited patterns, symbols and memories as well as contemporary works that celebrate identity resilience and the enduring connection between past and present.

On the left - a quartet of paintings exploring the colours, symbols and spirit of Ukraine combining floral forms joyfully celebrating nature and cultural identity.
On the right - Shared Sky, Shared Song - which reflects upon the relationship between Indigenous peoples and early Ukrainian settlers on the Saskatchewan prairie.

Dawna is a Canadian artist of Ukrainian descent, born in Regina, now living in Calgary.  Her work is inspired by family history, Ukrainian folk-art traditions and the stories, symbols and memories that connect generations.

Petrykivka painting is a UNESCO recognized Ukrainian decorative art form celebrated for its flowing floral imagery and distinctive brush techniques.

The Museum is open Sundays from 11:30am - 3:30pm; and by special request.
